Double vinyl LP pressing. Seconds Out is the second live album from Genesis, released as a double album in October 1977 on Charisma Records. It is formed of recordings from their four dates at the Palais des Sports in Paris in June 1977 on their Wind & Wuthering Tour. Seconds Out reached #4 in the UK and #47 in the US. It's release coincided with the departure of guitarist Steve Hackett who left the group during the album's mixing stages, thus reducing Genesis to the core trio of keyboardist Tony Banks, guitarist Mike Rutherford, and drummer and singer Phil Collins.
"Seconds Out" is a live double LP by the legendary British progressive rock band Genesis, released in 1977. Capturing performances from their concerts in Paris during the band's 1976 and 1977 tours, this album showcases Genesis at a pivotal moment as Phil Collins took over lead vocals following Peter Gabriel's departure. The record features powerful renditions of classics like "Firth of Fifth," "The Carpet Crawlers," and the epic "Supper?s Ready." Known for its dynamic soundscapes and intricate musicianship, "Seconds Out" remains one of the most celebrated live albums in prog-rock history. Genesis themselves are icons of progressive music, with numerous platinum albums such as ?Selling England by the Pound? and ?Invisible Touch,? influencing generations of artists worldwide. The LP is manufactured by ATL (Atlantic Records), a renowned label famous for supporting groundbreaking acts across genres since its founding in 1947.
