Revelations of Oblivion

I'm an old Possessed fan, I bought the cult album Seven Churches in 1985, which I consider to be one of the best death metal of all time. After I saw them Brutal Assault in 2017 and was able to see with respect and astonishment what great performance Jeff Beccera put on there in a wheelchair, I was really looking forward to new material. Long story short, they didn't disappoint me. A real hit album. No hangers, a rich sound and a singer in top form. Just cool neckbreakers.

An album looks like an attempt to feel young. I respect Possesed for old albums. But this release is too much oriented to the public. The music was composed by people who, judging by their age at the early Possesed, grew up. The result was a nostalgic album, but no more.

I can not believe how good album this is! I did not expect such a good return from old death metal legend Jeff Becerra but this man delievers again! Songs like Demon, The Omen, Graven are alreadly classics. A really must buy!
