Limited 10" vinyl pressing. Veteran indie rockers The Decemberists returned earlier this year with their album, I'll Be Your Girl, which saw the band pushing outside their comfort zone and experimenting with a new wave palette of sounds. Now, a few months after the album's release, the band releases Traveling On, an EP featuring five tracks originally intended for inclusion on I'll Be Your Girl. Traveling On continues on the path that was laid by the band's eight studio effort, with Colin Meloy and co. Shifting their sonic influences in the direction of New Order and Roxy Music.

This release is described as "The Companion EP" to The Decemberists album "I'll Be Your Girl", which features five additional tracks. Comes with a double-sided insert featuring lyrics and credits. All runouts are etched except for MASTERED BY CAPITOL, which is stamped. Recorded and mixed by John Congleton, September - November, 2017 at Halfling Recording Studio, Portland, OR and at Elmwood West, Los Angeles, CA All songs mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound, New York, NY except track B1 mastered by Ian Sefchick at Capitol Mastering, Hollywood, CA Kelly Hogan appears courtesy of ANTI- ? © 2018 Capitol Records, LLC.
