Description:

The style of â??The Ballad Of Losing Youâ? has drifted from his folk beginnings into a country and English ballad tradition. The tape and analogue production quality blend it with a purity and an honesty that parallel the lyrical narrative. It is a break-up record on surface level. But a deeper listen and a glance at the extent of Luckyâ??s road dates suggest that other transitions and departures are at play in his creative evolution. -

Jewel case edition. These songs were recorded to one inch tape on a Tascam 85-16B. Produced and engineered at Sine Wave Studios in rural Saskatchewan, over six days during the month of April 2013. All songs were mixed and mastered over four days in May at Buena Vista Audio in Langley, BC.
