Vinyl LP pressing. Mike Patton and renowned French composer Jean-Claude Vannier, who is perhaps best known for his work with Serge Gainsbourg, have come together on the 12-song album, Corpse Flower. Other musicians on the album include Smokey Hormel (Beck, Johnny Cash), Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Air, Nine Inch Nails) and James Gadson (Beck, Jamie Lidell). The Parisian players are Denys Lable, Bernard Paganotti (Magma), Daniel Ciampolini, Didier Malherbe, Léonard Le Cloarec and the Bécon Palace String Ensemble.

"Corpse Flower (Ltd. Ed.) (LP+MP3, Coloured)" is a unique collaboration between avant-garde icon Mike Patton and legendary French composer Jean-Claude Vannier, released by Pias/Ipecac. This limited edition coloured vinyl LP includes an MP3 download code, offering both audiophiles and collectors a rare treat. The album merges Patton's experimental vocal prowess?known from Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, and Fantômas?with Vannier?s lush orchestral arrangements reminiscent of his work with Serge Gainsbourg on "Histoire de Melody Nelson." Together they craft an atmospheric journey blending rock, chanson française, jazz, and cinematic soundscapes into something truly original. Pias/Ipecac is renowned for supporting innovative artists across genres; Ipecac Recordings in particular was co-founded by Mike Patton himself to champion boundary-pushing music worldwide.
