Description:

After their very successful album â??Timelessâ?, the Lautten Compagney again presents a stunning mixture of Minimal and Renaissance Music. Early music instruments such as gamba, lute and more meet saxophone and striking percussion. The recording features works by Franco-Flemish composer Guillaume Dufay (c.1400-1474) which alternate with compositions by Philip Glass, but also Steve Reich, John Cage, Meredith Monk, Wim Mertens and Peter A. Bauer. There is also a direct fusion of Renaissance and Minimal Music such as the combination of Chansons by Dufay with Steve Reich's legendary Clapping Music and Dance V by Philip Glass. - WOLFGANG KATSCHNER
