Description:In the last two decades, Little Annâ??s music has gone from being almost unheard to celebrated widely across the world. Initially known only as a footnote for having one side of one Ric-Tic single in 1968, the discovery and playing of her acetate of â??What Should I Doâ?? at Wigan Casino in the late 70s meant her name become important to rare soul fans (when it was revealed that Little Ann was the real singer of the song erroneously attributed to Rose Valentine at the time). -
Connoisseurs of rare soul came to highly prize Little Ann over the past few decades, as more and more rare '60s/'70s recordings have come to light. This new collection on CD or vinyl brings together her best-loved and rarest sides and features a photo of Ann from her high school days (provided by her cousin): the lovely ballads "That's All I Want from You," "Deep Shadows," alternate takes of "What Should I Do" and "Who Are You Trying to Fool," the groovy dance cut "Lean Lanky Daddy," the funky "One Way Street," "Possession" and more13 tracks on vinyl, 25 (including instrumental versions and other ultra-rarities) on CD!
