Sie schreiben immer noch über das �berleben in unserer aktuellen Höllenwelt, aber dieses Mal wird die Politik besonders persönlich. A Distant Call ist ein Argument für den Sozialismus auf anekdotischer Ebene. Wir sprechen darüber, wie der Spätkapitalismus alles, was sich ihm in den Weg stellt, entfremdet und zur Ware macht, ohne den Begriff 'Spätkapitalismus' zu verwenden. Die neue Herangehensweise von Palmer und Halladay an die Lyrik erstreckte sich auch auf den Aufnahmeprozess. Nachdem die Seely-Brüder die Tracks aufgenommen hatten, nahm Halladay mit dem Produzenten Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Code Orange) die Vocals auf. -
Philadelphia's Sheer Mag return with their sophomore album A Distant Call-an instant classic charged with hard rock, punk rock, and yacht rock influences-they forgot the disco this time around to embrace more of a mid-80s heavy metal sound, which results in Saxon meets Fleetwood Mac protest and love songs.
