Filmed on 13 December, 1993, at Seattle's Pier 48 (less than a month after the band's influential MTV Unplugged in New York show taping), Nirvana: Live And Loud originally aired on MTV on New Years Eve in 1993. It was initially released as part of the 20th anniversary of the band's third and final studio album, In Utero in 2013. The show in its entirety was previously unreleased although a shorter version had been previously broadcast on MTV and the audio of the song 'Scentless Apprentice' appeared on the live compilation album From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah in 1996.
