Description: | Eugène Ysaye completed four Études-Poèmes (study poems) between June 1900 and September 1901. Three of them were published after the composer's death by his grandson, Jacques Ysaye, but the Étude-Poème in G minor, recorded here as a world première, remained unpublished. Written in the summer of 1900 in the Belgian village of Sainte-Marie-Chevigny, soon after the Études-Poèmes in A major and E b minor, this work was given it's first performance by the composer himself and the French pianist Raoul Pugno on 17 October of the same year, in Copenhagen. For Noé Inui, the sonatas have a fundamental meaning. The study and recording of the complete works is a gain and a challenge for him. The solo sonatas have accompanied him in his musical education since the age of fourteen. The album "6 Sonaten op.27/Etude Poème op.9" in the SACD+CD format presents a captivating collaboration between violinist Noé Inui and pianist Mario Häring, released by Ars Produktion. This recording features Eugène Ysaÿe's six solo violin sonatas, Op. 27?masterpieces of technical brilliance and emotional depth that have become cornerstones of the violin repertoire?as well as Karol Szymanowski?s evocative Etude-Poème Op. 9 for piano, offering listeners an immersive journey through early twentieth-century virtuosity and expressionism. Noé Inui is celebrated for his passionate interpretations and has won numerous international competitions; Mario Häring is acclaimed for his sensitive artistry at the keyboard, notably as a prizewinner at the Leeds International Piano Competition. Together, they bring fresh insight to these demanding works with exceptional synergy and musicality.
