This collection brings together some of the band's most iconic tracks recorded between 1977 and 1984, capturing the raw energy and uncompromising political message that defined an era. The remastered edition features enhanced sound quality and insightful liner notes, making it essential for both longtime fans and newcomers to punk history. Crass was formed in Essex, England in 1977 and quickly became pioneers of the anarcho-punk movement with albums like "The Feeding of the 5000" and "Stations of the Crass." Their confrontational lyrics addressed issues such as war, animal rights, feminism, and anti-establishment sentiments. As a manufacturer and record label founded by members of the band themselves, Crass Records played a crucial role in promoting independent music culture throughout Britain. | | Manufacturer No.: |
