Description:

The word "foscor" translates as "darkness" in the band's native Catalan tongue, which Barcelona's Foscor often uses for their lyrics as a distinctive element and strong connection with their cultural reality. The band is attracted to and build upon these foundations, while taking inspiration from the morbid, decadent, and sick reflections on a rapidly changing society that shaped the artistic landscape at the end of the nineteenth century. The year 2019 promises to be as tragic as their music claims with the release of 'Els Sepulcres Blancs'! - .. BLANCS

Otherworldly progressive outfit Foscor re-emerges with Els Sepulcres Blancs, their new Season of Mist album, which follows up 2018's Les Irreals Versions. It sees the Catalan quintet temper the tragic darkness with a triumphant, uplifting sonic edge and heightened dramatic flair. Els Sepulcres Blancs is fantastic piece of sonic art from what has quietly become one of the best progressive metal bands in the world.
