| | Descripción: | The latest offering of Risen Prophecy is a superbly crafted concept album that redefines epicness. This British band have always straddled a fine line between thrash and US style power metal, yet "Voices from the Dust" unites both sides of their respective influences and goes further. Bringing more extremity to their overall sound, there is also a stronger sense of melody within their songwriting. You will find here a wealth of brutal, crushingly heavy riffs, punishing rhythm section with some blistering blastbeats and truly inspired solos and interludes. Last but definitely not least, there are the commanding vocals with a theatrical flair, mostly deep and manly, but also some impressive high pitched ones, often supported by choirs. The lyrics tell a story of a traveller who finds himself upon a scorched plain where all he can see is destruction and smoke and is enabled to travel back through time to witness the cause of the conflagrated desolation.
