It was his first that saw him break into the UK Top 20 (#15) and achieved Silver selling status in the UK alone. It was the kick-start to the incredibly prolific career he has become known and loved for to this day. The singles from this album were 'Stainsby Girls' and 'Josephine'. With a career spanning over 40 years and over 30 million album sales, Chris Rea's distinctive husky-gravel vocal and incredible body of work has seen him become one of the most loved solo artists the UK have ever produced.

Sonically, I think the remastered album is superb and the detail that has been uncovered makes it a revelation, while the mellow character of the original remains.

I have always liked Chris Riee`s music. I listened to it on vinyl as well. This is Chris's seventh album, which was released in 1985. It was from this album that his music became more accessible to perception, more popular. And then there's a nice addition in the form of a bonus disc.
