California-based Beaux Gris Gris (pronounced \Ë?bÅ\ \Ë?grÄ?-(Ë?)grÄ?\ ) & The Apocalypse is a New Orleans inspired, American Blues Folk Soul band created by Louisiana-born-and-raised musician Greta Valenti (Well Hung Heart) and UK British Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Robin Davey (The Hoax, DVL, Well Hung Heart). The rhythm section features Blues heavyweight Mark Barrett on Drums (The Hoax, DVL) and Irish-American singer-songwriter Ali Coyle on Bass. Additionally Bob Fridzema (Joanne Shaw Taylor, King King) on keys. Following the release of singles 'Heart Breaker' and 'Don't Let The Bastards Drag You Down', the latter described by Classic Rock Magazine as 'An anthem for our times', Love & Murder is an eclectic collection of 'Ten catchy and appealing songs that spark passion and energy' (Blues Magazine NL). Calling on influences like PJ Harvey and Nick Cave alongside the more traditional tones of BB King and Guitar Slim, 'The British-American group does not put a foot wrong on their debut album Love & Murder' (Rock Times Germany). -
