Trip Reset: A Story of a Lost Album Re-Awakened by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Psychic TV featuring The Angels Of Light. "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" was written originally by Pink Floyd. Originally released on CD only in 1996. Features full lyrics and extensive liner notes from Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. A biodelic configuration illuminating hallucinogenic songs.
Released in a jewel case with polished white tray. Psychic TV (aka "PTV USA 96") Recorded at Lifesource Studio, California during 1994-95 Mastered at J/Lab Technical notes: tracking was done on a Fostex B-16 using Scotch 996 tape. A Mackie 1604 board was used to track and mix. Mikes were AKG 414; Sennheiser 421 and Beyer 260 ribbon, along with 57's and 58's. Everything was played realtime, no sequencing whatsoever, although some songs were built from analogue tape loops or ambient beds transferred via an EPS 16+ sampler. Mixdown was on Urei 809's to Panasonic and Sony DAT. Dynamic processing was Valley and Symetrix. All effects were old analogue i.e. Roland Space Echo; Tube Echoplex; Spring reverb and "Thee Gristleizer" analogue processor (the only exception being an Effectron 1024 delay). Editing was executed with Sound Designer 2 on a Mac 2Ci using a 1.7 gig Maxtor drive. On the back insert the artist name is presented as Genesis P-Orridge and Psychic TV featuring "The Angels Of Light"
