Azmi H. - 05/09/2022 This album is the most dark and bone crunching album of Dio's career. It is also the second and last studio album featuring his best guitarist ever Tracy G.
| | Eugene S. - 08/08/2022 Angry Machines is the seventh studio album by American heavy metal band Dio. It was released first in Japan on October 4, 1996, Unsurpassed vocals and bright guitar parts make this album unforgettable. I recommend.
| | Kwan Hung T. - 09/10/2020 attractive cover and inlays design, must buy for fans.
| | Vitali T. - 25/09/2020 The legendary Ronnie James Dio! Previously, he performed in the Black Sabbath group. But the music is still different, although it's still the same hard-and-heavy. The album was released in 1996. Not the best, but still good. A very nice edition with an additional disc.
| | Alexander Ivanovich S. - 16/09/2020 The great underrated album of true heavy metal! The remastered sound is clear and loud. The mediabook edition is outstanding and contains a 16-page glued-in booklet in a hardback cover. The CDs are housed into glued-in sleeves in the inner sides of cover. This release is a must have for any Dio fan.
| | Alexander S. - 08/09/2020 The next album by maestro Dio caused a storm of indignation among his old fans, but attracted the attention of fans of other darker types of rock. Angry Mashines is a wild mix of doom-black-dark-death-industrial-hard rock metal. There are practically no things and sounds traditional for Dio, at the same time some melodiousness of the previous album has also disappeared. Ronnie in Angry Mashines sings more about the tragedies and nightmares of this world in general, without going into specific cases ...
Hunter Of The Heart is an excellent mid-tempo action movie with a tense quiet intro and explosive losses throughout the song. This song is written more in the style of previous albums, although there is definitely something evil-machine in it. Dio perfectly draws out the chorus, and the text about the adventures of a killer maniac pleasantly stirs up the blood.
Black is a simple and short, albeit catchy song. In addition to guitars and drums, wind instruments are involved here (editor's note - I wonder, just where ??). The meaning of the song is very simple - the whole world is BLACK and there are no heroes who can save it.
Double Monday is a catchy song, the title of which can be literally translated as seven Fridays a week. The text of the song justifies the name - it sings about failures that like snakes and spiders wind around your body. In the composition, I am very pleased with a small moment with a part on an acoustic guitar.
Golden Rules is essentially the title track, with a good heavy beat.
Institutional Man is a semi-industrial ballad very complex in its composition. It is sung here about some schizophrenic from a mental hospital.
Dying In America is a hard rock ballad about the nightmares of life in America.
Don't Tell The Kids is a lightning-fast action movie with great replays and Doom lyrics. Quotes - The planet needs a doctor ... it's like Hell here ... but don't tell the kids about it ...
Stay Out Of My Mind is a slow semi ballad similar in meaning to Institutional Man.
Big Sister is a powerful action movie with killer guitar kicks. The music is good, but the lyrics are a little silly.
This Is Your Life is a lyrical ballad performed by maestro Dio to the soft sounds of the piano. In it, he calls to love and fight for your life, no matter how bad this life is. As if putting an end to the theme of Earth's nightmares, begun in the Highways, Dio closes the album with this song ...
