Remastered from fresh transfers of the original analogue tapes with original artwork faithfully recreated, plus an inner sleeve featuring a stunning portrait shot of Kim plus full lyrics. â??Catch As Catch Canâ?? was originally issued in autumn 1983 and includes the UK hit singles â??Love Blondeâ?? (#23) and â??Dancing In The Darkâ?? (#67). Kim Wilde remains a perennial icon of British pop with an adoring global fanbase. She became an overnight sensation back in 1981 courtesy of the worldwide success of her single â??Kids In Americaâ??, which offered a very British twist on the new wave energy and glamour of Blondie. In due course, Kim would enjoy numerous hits throughout the 1980s, first on RAK Records (with help from father Marty and brother Ricky) and then later on MCA (when she took up songwriting herself and toured with Michael Jackson and David Bowie). - .. Catch as Catch Can is the third studio album by Kim Wilde, released in autumn 1983. Having toured the UK and Europe in November and December 1982, there was a silence of six months. Kim Wilde returned with the single "Love Blonde", a jazz/swing-inspired track that lyrically mocked the blonde bombshell image that some media had dealt Kim in the previous years. But the sound was unique to the single; the rest of the album continued the electronic theme that was introduced on Select. Most of the songs were again written by Marty and Ricky Wilde, except the second single 'Dancing In The Dark', which was written by Nicky Chinn and Paul Gurvitz. Ricky Wilde produced the album."Catch As Catch Can (Deluxe 2CD+DVD Edition)" by Kim Wilde is a comprehensive reissue of her acclaimed third studio album, originally released in 1983.
