Description:

Ludwig van Beethoven's first three symphonies are among the best-known orchestral compositions. The German period instrument ensemble Compagnia di Punto recorded Beethoven's symphonies in arrangements for chamber orchestra which were written by two of Beethoven's contemporaries, Beethoven's pupil Ferdinand Ries (1784-1838) and the composer Carl Friedrich Ebers (1770-1836). This world premiere recording was supported by the Beethoven Haus Bonn and is a valuable contribution to the Beethoven Anniversary Year 2020 (250th birthday of the composer). - ..
