Description:The debut of the Taracea ensemble creates a bridge between past and present. The Madrid-based trio's artistic project is to combine early music, jazz and improvisation. It's founder Rainer Seiferth, a German musician who lives in Spain, plays the vihuela, the Spanish counterpart of the Renaissance lute. Belén Nieto is a flute and recorder specialist and a regular member of Jordi Savall's ensembles. The double bass player Miguel Rodrigañez is at home in jazz, flamenco and classical music. If there is a movement for 'new' early music, Michel Godard was one of it's founders: the French virtuoso of the serpent blends in perfectly with the group. Percussionist David Mayoral combines East and West on zarb, riq and darbuka. The young Spanish singer and percussionist Isabel Martín performs a song by the Spanish Renaissance composer Juan del Encina. This album is called 'Akoé' - 'Listening' in ancient Greek: each of the musicians brings his or her own sound and ideas and becomes an integral part of an inextricably interwoven texture., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Artwork: Aline Lugand-Gris Souris, Artwork [Cover Image]: Millennium Images, Uk, Artwork [Cover Image]: Robert Norbury, Design: Valérie Lagarde, Double Bass: Miguel Rodrigáñez, Engineer, Mixed By, Mastered By: Nicolás Tsabertidis, Liner Notes: Mario Muñoz Carrasco, Liner Notes [English Translation]: John Thornley (3), Liner Notes [French Translation]: Dennis Collins (2), Liner Notes [French Translation]: Laurent Cantagrel, Liner Notes [French Translation]: Loïc Windels, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Barbara Cerruti, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Rainer Seiferth, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Susanne Lowien, Percussion, Guest: David Mayoral, Photography By [Back]: Pablo Neustadt, Photography By [Inside]: Carlos López De Arenosa, Photography By [Inside]: Pablo Neustadt, Recorder, Flute [Traverso]: Belén Nieto, Serpent, Guest: Michel Godard, Vihuela, Arranged By, Liner Notes: Rainer Seiferth, Voice, Percussion, Guest: Isabel Martin (3), Composed By: John Dowland, Composed By: John Dowland, Composed By: Giulio Caccini, Composed By: Anonymous, Composed By: Heinrich Isaac, Composed By: Anonymous, Composed By: Juan Del Encina, Composed By: Josquin Des Prés, Composed By: Adrian Le Roy, Composed By: Hildegard Von Bingen, Composed By: Claudin de Sermisy, Labelcode ALLP597.2 (ALPHA 597), Record Company Outhere Music France, Copyright (c) Alpha Classics, Copyright (c) Outhere Music France, Mixed At Small Room, Mastered At Small Room, Glass Mastered At WWW.PROFACT-INTERNATIONAL.COM
