Part of the Jean-Pierre Leloir Collection,Giant Steps 18 0 gram vinyl was John Coltraneâ??s debut on the Atlantic label. At that time he was still a member of the Miles Davis group which would soon record the immortal Kind of Blue. The 1960 album received a five-star rating in Down Beat, with renowned critic Ralph J. Gleason stating that, â??There are times here when Coltrane is remarkably soft, lyrical, and just plain pretty. You can tag this LP as one of the important ones.â? - 60 YEAR ANNIVERSARY / 180GR.

A remastered, deluxe 2-LP with the original album plus a bonus disc of alternate takes and versions - including rehearsal and incomplete tracks, as well as false starts - only previously included in The Heavyweight Champion: The Complete Atlantic Recordings of John Coltrane boxed set. This 2-LP configuration features a 12" x 12" 12pp booklet, packaged in a replica of the original 1969 stereo pressing, with a 12" x 12" album cover insert included.

60th anniversary deluxe edition. Comes with two LPs in printed sleeves, a single-sided poster with the cover art, and a booklet containing liner notes and additional art. Early copies sold from Rhino Records were bundled with a bonus 7 containing alternate takes of the songs "Giant Steps" and "Naima" ([r=15989776]).
