HYUNG RAE K. - 14/Oct/2023 5 of 5 Stars!
David Coverdale has put out some great repackaged sets/box sets and after reading the album notes sounds like more good stuff is in the works! I

Alexander S. - 14/Feb/2021 4 of 5 Stars!
This album is strictly thematic: Rock is announced - get rock in a hypostasis honed by modern means. Never mind that Whitesnake has always played rock - rock, there could be even more. Want to? So we can add more. Denser, more powerful, more assertive ... Moreover, we are not talking about the early ("English") milestones of discography: here the late, and already "loud" albums got into the pumping - plus the same album-border guard Slide It In, twice redesigned (last time in 2019). On the example of the songs taken from it (Love Ain't No Stranger and All or Nothing - where just "there were new guitars on tape"), the difference in approaches is especially clear: look, two modern alterations, but there is the width of the palette and variety, here - power and accuracy of hitting the target. The keyboards are submerged, the guitars are gathered in a single fist, the drums pierce and seal. So. 16 things, four per side. We start with Still of the Night (1987) - there will be two more songs from this album (including the next version of Here I Go Again, the title is binding); as well as three with Restless Heart, two each with Forevermore and Good To Be Bad, one each with Slip of the Tongue and Into the Light, and a couple of rarities for dessert: Can't Stop Now - from the Restless Heart box set, and Always the Same from unpublished material from the Flesh & Blood sessions. Among the special successes of the program, one can name Best Years, Give Me All Your Love, Restless Heart, She Give Me and Forevermore - although it is not so easy to single out something, the set goes smoothly, the packaging is dense, the presentation is hurricane.
