 | | Description: | Die legendäre britische Blues-Rock-Band Savoy Brown unter der Leitung von Gründungsmitglied Kim Simmonds mit ihrem aufregenden neuen Albums â??Ain't Done Yetâ?? auf Quarto Valley Records.
" - 2020 release from the legendary British Blues Rock band still led by founding member Kim Simmonds. Aint Done Yet follows Savoy Brown's critically acclaimed 2019 album, City Night. "The album continues the approach I've been taking with the band this past decade," says guitarist/singer/songwriter Simmonds, who formed the band in 1965 in London, England, and is one of the longest running blues rock bands in existence. "The big difference with the album is the multi-layer approach I took to recording the guitar parts. It's all blues-based rock music. I try to find new and progressive ways to write and play the music I've loved since I was a young teenager."Comes in tri-fold cardboard sleeve."Ain't Done Yet" is a powerful CD release by the legendary British blues-rock band Savoy Brown, issued by the quality label Quarto Valley Records. Rooted firmly in electric blues with a strong rock edge, this album showcases gritty guitar work, earthy grooves and a mature songwriting style that reflects decades of stage and studio experience. The songs move between driving shuffles, soulful mid-tempo tracks and reflective blues ballads, always held together by tight arrangements and a warm, analog-leaning sound. Lyrically, "Ain't Done Yet" circles around perseverance, life on the road and the unbroken passion for the blues, making the record feel like a late-career statement of purpose.
As a listening experience, the CD is cohesive and atmospheric, ideal both for focused listening on a hi-fi system and as a bluesy backdrop for relaxed evenings. Fans of classic British blues, guitar-centric rock and expressive soloing will find plenty to enjoy, from smoky club vibes to more expansive, dynamic tracks. The production keeps the focus on guitar, vocals and a solid rhythm section, avoiding overproduction and staying authentically close to the live sound.
