This version of Chamber Music comes as a 1xCD. - WORKS BY POULENC/FRANCAIXPoulenc and Françaix are among the most important French composers of the 20th century. From a synthesis of the most diverse influences, Poulenc developed a style of his own, which Françaix took up and enriched with elements of popular music. The excellent musicians around the pianist Ulrich Koella present here a colorful palette of sound colors and moods. Swiss pianist Ulrich Koella is much in demand as a chamber musician and accompanist - working among others with renowned artists János Bálint, Olaf Bär, François Benda, Bettina Boller, Eduard Brunner, Fabio Di Cí sola, Thomas Friedli, Martin Fröst, James Galway, Peter-Lukas Graf, Ulrike Helzel, Wolfgang Holzmair, Sharon Kam, Rudolf Koelman, Maxence Larrieu, Orfeo Mandozzi, Laszlo Polgar, Julian Prégardien, Eugene Rousseau, Andreas Schmidt, Bo Skovhus, Elena Tsallagova, Raphael Wallfisch and Hanna Weinmeister. His concert activities have led him to most European countries, the Middle East, Japan, China, Canada, Argentina, Australia and the USA. |
