Description:Signal Red machte sich 2018 mit der Veröffentlichung von "Under the Radar" einen Namen. Die Band setzt sich aus herausragenden Musikern zusammen, allen voran Gitarrist Steve Grocott und Sänger Lee Small. Die Zusammenarbeit kam zum ersten Mal im Februar 2013 zustande, als Steve etwas Leerlauf hatte. Er war zuvor in einer Band namens "Sevendayz" gewesen, und er kontaktierte Lee, da er so viel über ihn gehört hatte, vor allem aus dem selbstbetitelten SHY-Album, das 2011 erschien. Die beiden verstanden sich auf Anhieb, und es schien unvermeidlich, dass ein Album folgen würde. Steve arbeitete mit der britischen Band "Ten" zusammen, als Gary Hughes ihn bat, bei einigen Konzerten in der Bandbesetzung mitzuwirken und auf dem neuen Album zu spielen, so dass die Veröffentlichung des Debütalbums "Signal Red" für eine Weile gestoppt wurde. Schlie�lich wurde Steves Zeit frei, so dass er sich wieder auf neues Material für das Album konzentrieren konnte, und das Ganze hat sich gerade zu einer fantastischen Aufnahme entwickelt. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Lee ist eindeutig eine sehr Fruchtbare, Lee hat sich bereits mit "Shy", in jüngerer Zeit mit "Lionheart" sowie mit Soloalben, dem Projekt Phenomena und der Rockband "Snowfall" bewährt. Lee ist ein sehr gefühlvoller, melodiöser Sänger, und seine Stimme passt perfekt zu Signal Red. Das Debüt sorgte mit seinen starken melodischen Rockwurzeln für Aufsehen, und dieses neue Album "Alien Nation" ist eine Fortführung des robusten Rocksounds, dessen sie sich bereits als würdig erwiesen haben. Wir haben hier 11 Titel von schierer Qualität, und Steves Gitarre scheint auf allen Stücken durch. -
2020 release. Signal Red made it's mark in 2018 with the release of Under The Radar. The band is made up of outstanding musicians, principally guitarist Steve Grocott and vocalist Lee Small. The collaboration with Lee is clearly a good match as Lee has already proved his worth with Shy and more recently with Lionheart as well as solo albums, the Phenomena project and rock band Snowfall. Lee is a very soulful, melodic vocalist and his voice suits Signal Red perfectly. The debut caused quite a stir with it's strong melodic rock roots and this album, Alien Nation, is an extension of that robust rock sound that they have already proved themselves worthy of. We have here 11 tracks of sheer quality and Steve's playing shines through on all tracks. One to watch out for!
