Q65 war eine hollÃ¤ndische Garage-Rock- und Psychedelic-Band, die 1965 gegrÃ¼ndet wurde und als eine der prominenteren Bands galt, die mit der hollÃ¤ndischen Rockwelle (Nederbeat) der 60er Jahre in Verbindung gebracht wurde. Inspiriert durch Bands wie The Kinks, The Animals und vor allem durch die Art und Weise, wie die Rolling Stones den Rhythm & Blues von Blues-Meistern wie Willie Dixon und Muddy Waters interpretierten. "Afghanistan" ist das dritte Q65-Album, das im Oktober 1970 verÃ¶ffentlicht wurde. Das Album prÃ¤sentiert auf der A-Seite Studioaufnahmen mit den Golden Earring-Mitgliedern Rinus Gerritsen und Barry Hay, wÃ¤hrend die B-Seite das â??Rock & Roll Medley, Recorded â??LIVEâ?? at Sarasaniâ?? auf der niederlÃ¤ndischen Insel Texel wiedererlebbar macht. -

Q65 was a Dutch garage rock and psychedelic group formed in 1965 and considered as one of the more prominent bands associated with the Dutch rock wave (Nederbeat) of the 60's. Inspired by bands such as The Kinks, The Animals and most of all by the way The Rolling Stones interpreted the Rhythm & Blues from blues masters like Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters. 'Afghanistan' is the third Q65 album released in October 1970. The album contains both, one LP side of studio recordings featuring Golden Earring members Rinus Gerritsen and Barry Hay on several numbers and one full LP side "Rock & Roll Medley, recorded 'LIVE' at Sarasani, on the Dutch island Texel.
