Johnny Lloyds zweites Studioalbum in ebenso vielen Jahren heiÃ?t "Cheap Medication" und ist der Nachfolger seines Solo-DebÃ¼ts â??Nest Episode In 15 secondsâ?? von 2019. Wenn es nach Johnny geht, soll es die zweite Ausgabe einer jÃ¤hrliche Reihe von VerÃ¶ffentlichungen werden. Das neue Album setzt fÃ¼r den Songwriter das i-TÃ¼pfelchen auf eine sehr aktive Zeit, wÃ¤hrend der er auch zwei Compilations mit Outtakes und RaritÃ¤ten verÃ¶ffentlicht hat (Low Fidelity Vol. 1 & 2, dazu die Zusammenarbeit mit seiner Freundin Billie Piper und der Dramatikerin Lucy Prebble (Succession) fÃ¼r den gesamten Soundtrack der von der Kritik gefeierten Sky Atlantic-Serie "I Hate Suzie", bei der Piper die Hauptrolle spielt. AuÃ?erdem hat er seine Band â??Tribesâ?? wiederbelebt. Erste Sessions mit Produzent Nathan Coen fanden zwischen London und Johnnys Haus in Dorset statt, bevor sich die beiden in den legendÃ¤ren Abbey Road Studios niederlieÃ?en, um die neue Platte in Form zu bringen. Johnny bat einige Freunde dazu, um dem Album den letzten Schliff zu geben. Es sind etwa Kapil Trivedi von Mystery Jets, Pete Denton von The Kooks und Tom Odells Begleitband dabei. -

His second studio album in as many years, Cheap Medication arrives as the follow-up to 2019 solo debut: Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds and is the next instalment of what Johnny hopes will become an annual series of releases. The new album continues a prolific spell of activity for the songwriter that has also seen him release two compilations of outtakes and rarities (Low Fidelity Vol. 1 and 2); work in collaboration with his partner Billie Piper and playwright Lucy Prebble (Succession) to score the entire soundtrack for the critically acclaimed Sky Atlantic series I Hate Suzie which is out now; plus rekindle friendships with his original band of brothers to reform: Tribes.
