Described as â??The female Bon Iverâ? by BBC Producer Claire Slevin, Lila Tristram is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in East London. She is a graduate from Goldsmiths University, and should appeal to fans of Rozi Plain, Nick Drake, Emma Kupa, Joni Mitchell and John Martyn. During 2020 Lila has been self-releasing a number of digital singles, the latest of which, Anymore, sets a scene of heartbreak and acceptance; Reminiscent of folk revival, the song whispers its message through intricately fingerpicked open tuning, and gently weaving vocal melody. â??In some ways this song represents defiance for me,â? Lila admits, â??Itâ??s about that moment of acceptance that a relationship is overâ?. â??Each song is a glimpse into a friendship or relationship in my life; romantic love, familial love and love shared between friends are all expressed in these songs, which is why I don't really get bored of playing them.â?
