Albums Collection will include five extraordinary albums Parker recorded for Norman Granzâ??s Clef Records: Bird and Diz, Charlie Parker, Charlie Parker Plays South Of The Border, Charlie Parker With Strings and Charlie Parker With Strings (Vol. 2). The LPs will feature newly remastered audio from the original analog tapes and will include faithful reproductions of the classic artwork and packaging for the first time in more than six decades. The albums will be pressed on 180-gram black 10â? vinyl and will be housed in a custom slipcase. Representing Birdâ??s fruitful late â??40s to mid-50s Clef period, the albums have never been released together, and all but Bird and Diz have been out of print on vinyl since their original releases. - 180GR.This unique box set includes five classic albums in their original, short-lived 10-inch format, remastered by Alex Abrash (AA Mastering) with faithful reproductions of the David Stone Martin artwork and liner notes on heavy stock. The Mercury & Clef 10-inch LP Collection is some of the greatest bebop of all time. The five albums included are 1950's Charlie Parker With Strings, 1952's Bird and Diz and Charlie Parker Plays South of the Border, 1953's Charlie Parker With Strings (Vol. 2) and 1954's Charlie Parker.
