In 1972 the album was released as the 14th release of the legendary PILZ label catalogue. Producer Dieter Dierks prescribed the folk duo a good portion of cosmic electronic chords. "Saat" is the second studio album by the German progressive folk duo Emtidi, originally released in 1972 and now available on CD. This album is a remarkable example of early '70s Krautrock blended with psychedelic folk elements, featuring ethereal vocals, intricate acoustic guitar work, and innovative use of synthesizers. The soundscape ranges from pastoral melodies to experimental passages that showcase Emtidi's unique approach to songwriting and arrangement. "Saat" has become a cult classic among collectors and fans of progressive music for its dreamy atmosphere and creative instrumentation. Emtidi was formed by Maik Hirschfeldt (guitar) from Germany and Dolly Holmes (vocals, keyboards) from England. Their cross-cultural collaboration resulted in two albums: their self-titled debut in 1970 and "Saat," which is widely regarded as their masterpiece. Although they had a brief career together, Emtidi left an indelible mark on the German underground scene with their innovative fusion of folk traditions and electronic experimentation. The label Pilz was one of Germany?s pioneering labels for progressive rock during the early 1970s, known for supporting groundbreaking acts such as Wallenstein or Popol Vuh.
