Eine hochkonzentrierte Mischung aus hypnotischem Schlagzeug und vielschichtigem Pop- Songwriting. Sparkling, das ist elektrifizierter Post-Punk mit Gitarre, irgendwo zwischen atemlos und elegant, irgendwo zwischen London und KÃ¶ln. Mindestens. â??I Want To See Everythingâ??... wie entwaffnend unironisch schon gleich dieser erste Slogan ist. Sparkling suchen nicht nach coolen Posen, sie wollen mit ihrer energetischen Musik einfach raus in die Welt. Das multilinguale Album macht es den drei KÃ¶lnern dabei leicht, denn es spricht eine Universal-Sprache in Pop, die dabei weit Ã¼ber das angebotene Deutsch, Englisch, FranzÃ¶sisch der Lyrics hinausgeht. Vielleicht ist das ja diesem Aufenthalt in London vor ein paar Jahren geschuldet, als sie sich dort fÃ¼r eine Zeit mit irgendwelchen Hilfsjobs durchschlugen und in jener europÃ¤ischen Pop-Hauptstadt tÃ¤glich Konzerte besuchten - oder selbst gaben. Was sollten sie auch zu dritt in dem 12- Quadratmeter-Zimmer abhÃ¤ngen, das sie sich dort (kaum) leisten konnten? Feststeht in jedem Fall, dass ihr Sound die globale VerheiÃ?ung von Pop so gut einlÃ¶st, wie es schon lange kein Act mehr getan hat - und schon gar keiner aus Deutschland. Wer beim MusikhÃ¶ren auf SchweiÃ? und Euphorie aus ist, findet hier endlich wieder einen Ort, an dem beides in StrÃ¶men flieÃ?t. Dieses Album fÃ¼hlt sich so verdammt richtig an. -
