| | Description: | The Bitter Truth is the fifth studio album by Evanescence. It was recorded in sections during 2020, and the new music goes back to its rock roots, and it will feature new songs as well outtakes from the albums Evanescence and Synthesis.
Amy explained that the new music is â??dark and heavyâ? and has â??The Open Door vibes but not the sameâ? in terms of it having â??weird and sparseâ? moments. Some songs were described as belonging to a â??electronic, weird, mid-tempo world.â?
