The album "Echoes" by pianist and composer Dirk Maassen is inspired by encounters with his fans. It is about the power of music to express feelings and to connect people across spatial and temporal boundaries. Dirk Maassen has been keeping a musical diary for a long time. In it he writes down the particularly memorable experiences in melodies. Many encounters with his fans have particularly touched him and stimulated him to think about music as a means of communication. Feelings, sensations and experiences echo in music, and people can experience a deep connection even when they are separated from one another.
