Gentleman's Dub Club ist nach wie vor einer der aufregendsten Acts in GroÃ?britannien, ausverkaufte Shows (wenn sie live spielen kÃ¶nnen), Headliner auf FestivalbÃ¼hnen, viele Streams und oft Auftritte vor 10.000 oder mehr Zuschauern. Nach der VerÃ¶ffentlichung von "Lost In Space" im Februar 2019 kehrt die Band mit "Down To Earth" zurÃ¼ck. Es bringt die Band thematisch zurÃ¼ck zu den UrsprÃ¼ngen, mit einer Reihe von Songs, die darauf basieren, dass die Band im Studio zusammen schreibt und daran arbeitet, mehr von dem allgemeinen, messerscharfen Sound ihrer Live-Sets einzufangen. Ein GroÃ?teil des Albums wurde in London aufgenommen, wobei sich die Band immer dann traf, wenn es die Sperrstunde erlaubte, um gemeinsam zu schreiben, aufzunehmen und in den Crosstown Studios abzumischen, die dem Bassisten/Produzenten Toby Davies und dem Schlagzeuger Ben McKone (von General Roots, der Band von Hollie Cook) gehÃ¶ren. GastbeitrÃ¤ge von Hollie Cook und Gardna (die auch auf dem sehr erfolgreichen "Pound For Pound"-Album mitwirkten, das Gentlemans Dub Club 2018 mit den Nextmen aufnahm) tragen zur Magie bei. Die Vinylversion erscheint als Heavy Splatter Vinyl mit opakem Braun und SumpfgrÃ¼n. -

Consistently breaking genre boundaries, the eight Gents have delivered inimitable reggae, dub, ska, jazz, and electronica since 2006, and now, 14 years into their journey, they're returning back Down To Earth with a brand-new mix of beats and bass to kickstart the new year. Partly recorded in Crosstown Studios and partly finished off at home, GDC's eighth studio album was caught up in the midst of lockdown, sparking a window of opportunity to take the production to a whole new level. From live drums to heavy digital work, meticulous detail in the record shines through from the get-go, as album opener "Castle In The Sky" demonstrates. After David Rodigan gave it an early thumbs up and a BBC 1Xtra spin in 2020, the deep bass rumbles, epic string segments, carefully crafted guitar solo and undeniably catchy vocal melodies helped Down To Earth hit the ground running
