A journey through this distinctive musical genre, performed by some of the finest former members of the Choir of Kingâ??s College, Cambridge with one of this generationâ??s most exceptional pianists. Each of the nine alumni featured on this album sang as young adults at Kingâ??s, alongside accompanist Simon Lepper, a graduate of Kingâ??s. The songs included span settings of Shakespeare songs, those of prominent 20th Century composers Vaughan Williams, Britten, Finzi and Howells through contemporary works by the likes of Jonathan Dove, Celia Harper and Iain Bell.
