Description:After 2014's "Roots", "Branches" reconvenes Tomoko Omura's quintet for an album of music inspired by Japanese folktales and popular melodies. Following "Branches Vol. 1" (2020), "Branches Vol. 2" includes six tracks of Tomoko's compositions that are inspired from Japanese folk tales, folk songs and her own family.
Track #5 Omura?s composition is dedicated to her grandmother, Tomie Omura, who passed away several years ago. The artist remarks: ?I was very close to her and we lived together for 18 years of my life". Recorded December 3rd and 4th 2018
