- 2021 release. Written, recorded and completed during lockdown, Carnage is the first studio album from Nick Cave & Warren Ellis working together outside of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. Cave describes the album as 'A brutal but very beautiful record nested in a communal catastrophe'. Cave & Ellis' sonic and lyrical adventurism continues apace on Carnage, an album that emerged almost by accident out of the downtime created by the long, anxious, global emergency. Carnage is a record for these uncertain times - one shot through with moments of distilled beauty and that resonates with an almost defiant sense of hope.Packaged in a cardboard sleeve and inner sleeve. The title on the main sleeve is lightly debossed and the interior section of both sleeves is printed black. The label face of the disc has a matte feel, in keeping with the paper/card components.
Includes a 24 page booklet containing a tracklist, lyrics and credits. An A5 sticker sheet and a poster were available with initial copies at some stores.
The barcode appears on a sticker which is affixed to the shrink-wrap, not directly to the sleeve.
The catalogue number appears as: "BS021CD" on the spine, back cover and disc label; "96025" on the back cover and disc label.
