It must have been around 2 years ago during one of these afternoons I spent at Issam Hajali's jewelery shop on Mar Elias Street in Beirut. We had started working on the idea of re-releasing some of Issam's music and he proposed his first album "Mouasalat Ila Jacad El Ard"; recorded before starting his band Ferkat Al Ard. As it happened, Rogér had colaborated with Issam in the process of working on the music and recording. They were both living in Paris for some time after each of them have had left Beirut sometime after 1976."Fine Anyway" is a captivating album by Lebanese singer-songwriter Roger Fakhr, now available in CD format from Habibi Funk Records. Originally recorded in the late 1970s but largely unreleased for decades, this collection showcases Fakhr?s unique blend of folk, jazz, and Middle Eastern influences. The songs are deeply personal and poetic, reflecting both the artist's introspective nature and the turbulent times during which they were written. Roger Fakhr is celebrated for his soulful voice and intricate guitar work; though not widely known outside Lebanon at the time of recording, he has since gained international recognition thanks to reissues like this one.
