Jumping forward into the mid-1950s the girls, Jay Duvalle, Jeanette Baker, Priscilla Bowman, The Teen Queens, and others are shaking their hips and gyrating around the stage with Rock 'n' Roll vigor. The 1960s found again new and established artists Dee Dee Sharp, Fontella Bass, Odessa Harris, Rita Zell keeping the previous decades' music in the public's mind and ears.
