As the opening track of the new album proclaims, â??BTKORâ?? (Big Truck Keeps on Rollin!) nothing can keep Trucker Diablo down! New album, Tail End of a Hurricane, is released on 7th May 2021, and is preceded by the feel good tune â??Rock Kids of the 80sâ?? on 5th March. Rock Kids was recorded late 2019, with a view to getting the album out early 2020...... but as we know, the world changed! Having given Rock Kids a live debut at Planet Rockâ??s Winters End Festival in February 2020, the band went into a studio in Liverpool that weekend and demoed an idea called â??I Am Still Aliveâ??, a song, that documents the current pandemic and is a reminder of how resilient we are . I Am Still Alive has the energy and punch to lift your soul! This album takes a few diversions off the main road that the Big Truck normally drives on, the almost punk attitude and feel to â??Insectsâ?? with its social commentary on how weâ??re all just worker insects feeding everything to the corporate machine for them to steal our being. Closing track â??Bury The Oceanâ?? was the last song written for the album, and its crushing guitar and build to an epic ending is a fitting reminder that while times are tough now, we will get out the other side of this situation! The one thing you do expect from Trucker is big riffs, big choruses and big performances, and this album doesnâ??t disappoint, from the sing along Rock Kids of the 80s, the energy of Insects, the short sharp punch of â??Slow Danceâ?? or the laid back tale, â??Woodstock to Vietnamâ??, where 2 friends In the hippy movement of the 60s choose different pathways for their life, youâ??ll know youâ??ve opened your front door to see the Big Truck parked up outside, engine running, exhaust fumes pumping out the pipe, door laying open invitingly..........
