Picture-Disc der neuen EP "Elemental" der australischen Drumâ??nâ??Bass-Legenden Pendulum. Pendulum sind eine australische Gruppe mit Sitz in GroÃ?britannien. Mehr noch: sie sind Australiens meistverkaufter Dance-Act und einer der beliebtesten Drum'n'Bass-Acts des frÃ¼hen 21. Jahrhunderts. Die Gruppe wurde 2002 in Perth gegrÃ¼ndet und bestand ursprÃ¼nglich aus den Produzenten Rob Swire und Gareth McGrillen, die mit einem lokalen DJ namens Paul "El Hornet" Harding zusammenarbeiteten. Eine der ersten VerÃ¶ffentlichungen des Teams, der Titel "Vault", wurde 2003 zu einer Sensation in der Drum'n'Bass-Community und profitierte stark von der Platzierung als Opener von J Majiks FabricLive-Mix-Album. 2005 verÃ¶ffentlichten Pendulum ihr DebÃ¼talbum â??Hold Your Colourâ?? mit den Singles "Tarantula" und "Slam". Im selben Jahr erzielte die Gruppe ihren bisher grÃ¶Ã?ten Hit mit einem Remix des Prodigy-Klassikers â??Voodoo Peopleâ??, der in die Top 20 der britischen Single-Charts einbrach. Dieser Erfolg gipfelte in einem Essential Mix fÃ¼r BBC Radio 1, der Ende des Jahres auf den Markt kam. The Phenakistoscope 12" Picture Disc is designed by frontman Rob Swire and animates when it is played at 45rpm and filmed on a mobile phone. This long-awaited release heralds the full comeback of the groundbreaking band, who previously released the double A-side singles 'Nothing For Free' & 'Driver' in 2020, followed by single 'Come Alive' earlier this year - all of which will feature on the 'Elemental' EP alongside final track Louder Than Words, a collaboration with Hybrid Minds.

Although the infocard states that this record should be played at 45 RPM, it should actually be played at 33 ? RPM. Both for hearing the Tracks at the right speed, and to view the animation. Housed in a PVC sleeve. The record is phenakistoscopic - It is animated when viewed in the correct way. To view the animation, play at 33 ? RPM and film on a camera at 25fps.
