Description:Rock icon and multi-instrumentalist Roger Taylor introduces his brand new solo album Outsider. Although the drummer has released occasional solo tracks reflecting his worldview and observations â?? including Journeyâ??s End, Gangsters Are Running This World and most recently last yearâ??s Isolation, written and recorded in response to lockdown â?? Outsider represents Taylorâ??s first album of new material since 2013â??s Fun On Earth. With much of Outsider recorded during lockdown, this new album finds Taylor in a reflective mood, conveying a palpable sense of isolation, concerns over the passing of time, and perhaps tellingly dedicated â??to all the outsiders, those who feel left on the sidelinesâ?. A highly personal project, Outsiderâ??s instrumentation is almost entirely performed by Taylor, with the drummerâ??s largely restrained vocals matching the mood-piece atmosphere. But Taylor does cut loose with the almost-punk More Kicks, along with a BIG surprise retread of a classic 1965 novelty song â?? exactly the fun on earth we need in these challenging times. -

To be honest I only bought it because it was extremely cheap and I wanted to see what it sounds like. Did not expected much but I was surprised that it is actually very solid and good album. No hits but also no fillers and album has its flow. I would recommend it to any Queen fan.

This is the sixth full-length solo album by English rock musician Roger Taylor, former drummer of the legendary rock band Queen. It was released in October 2021. The album consists of 12 songs, one of which is a collaboration with English singer KT Tunstal.l. This album turned out a little in the spirit of Queen herself. Great disc!
