| Description: | Riddy Arman eröffnet ihr Debütalbum bei La Honda Records mit einem Song namens "Spirits, Angels, Or Lies", inspiriert von der wahren Geschichte des Todes ihres Vaters. In ihrem Text untersucht sie die menschliche Neigung, das Unbekannte zu interpretieren. Die Geschichte, die sie erzählt, beschreibt die letzten
Momente und die visuellen Halluzinationen, die sie erlebte, als Johnny Cash ihren Vater am Sterbebett besuchte. Langjährige Fans von Arman werden den Song von ihrem viralen Performance-Video kennen, das von Western AF in einem Eisenbahnwaggon in Montana gedreht wurde.
Nicht allzu lange nach dem unerwarteten Erfolg ihrer Western AF-Session begann Arman eine intensive sechstägige Aufnahmesession in den Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon. Hoffnungsvoll und voller Sehnsucht, wollte sie die Essenz von ihren persönlichen Geschichten einfangen, tat sich mit dem
Produzent Bronson Tew zusammen und nahm neun Songs auf. - Vinyl LP pressing. 2021 release, the debut full-length album from singer/songwriter Riddy Arman. Unafraid to take new paths, Arman has traveled across the country - from the farmlands of the Midwest to the bustling streets of New York City - writing songs, working as a ranch hand, and practicing an Agrarian lifestyle. Not too long after the unexpected success of her Western AF session, Arman began an intensive six-day recording session at Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon. Hopeful, and longing to capture the essence of deeply personal stories from her life, she teamed up with producer Bronson Tew (Dom Flemons, Seratones, Jimbo Mathus) of Dialback Sound and tracked nine songs. |
