| Description: | Atmospheric chords float in timeless ambience without rhythm. Grammy nominee Steven Halpern then adds crystal bowls, harp, bamboo flute, electric piano. Track 2 was featured on CBS's 48 HOURS in 1991 and introduced the concept of sonic brainwave entrainment to a primetime audience. 30th anniversary 24-bit remastering for audiophile sound quality updates Halpern's perennial best-seller. - The composer/producer writes: Sometimes the unique sound produced by a new synthesizer triggers an instant out-of-body experience the moment I first I hear it. That's how HIGHER GROUND began. In the studio, I played a favorite D minor suspended 9th chord, and music began channeling through. I literally could not lift my fingers off the keyboard for over five minutes! You'll hear what I heard with my inner ear on Higher Ground, part 1. As I got deeper into the zone, I added other layers and instruments. New York Times # 1 bestselling author Dr Brian Weiss (Many Lives, Many Masters) played HIGHER GROUND for over a quarter million participants in his past life meditation workshops. 'This music always set the perfect ambience for participants to have a safe and often life-changing experiences. 'Dr. Brian WeissIt can do the same when you listen to this 30th anniversary 24-bit remastered, audiophile Deluxe Edition. At the very least, listeners will experience a sense of deep peace and well-being. In addition to the major theme and variations, HIGHER GROUND features the track that I recorded while being filmed by the crew from CBS's primetime program 48 HOURS in 1991. I was also interviewed to educate viewers on the healing power of sound and music. On track 2, titled in their honor, I improvised the theme on Rhodes electric piano, then immediately overdubbed the choir and ambient keyboards. I demonstrated how I add brainwave entrainment tones to 'dial in' whatever frequency I wanted. The effect was so noticeable, it blew the producer's mind. Alas, most of my presentation was edited out when a new producer took over and changed the tone of the program to a more sarcastic attitude. Now you can hear, and feel, what was left out of the broadcast. Several other tracks tune in to possible ET levels of inspiration. Read the full story at StevenHalpernMusic.
