Die Ã¼berlebenden Stranglers-Bandmitglieder JJ Burnel, Baz Warne und ihr neuestes Mitglied Jim Macaulay haben "Dark Matters" wÃ¤hrend eines Lockdowns aus der Ferne fertiggestellt und ist damit ihr erstes Album seit 2012. Das Album enthÃ¤lt die Single "And If You Should See Dave...", eine ehrliche Hommage an den von ihnen sehr vermissten Keyboarder Dave Greenfield, der vor einem Jahr tragisch an Covid-19 verstarb. Greenfield selbst ist auf dem 8. der 11 Tracks zu hÃ¶ren, die im Laufe von zwei Jahren in den Studios der Band in der lÃ¤ndlichen Idylle von Somerset und in SÃ¼dfrankreich aufgenommen wurden. Produziert wurde das Werk von ihrem langjÃ¤hrigen Mitarbeiter Louie Nicastro. -

Dark Matters is the Stranglers' first studio album release since 2012 and the first since their keyboard player Dave Greenfield died last year (a victim of COVID-19).

Greenfield himself features on eight of the album's 11 tracks, which were made over the course of two years at the band's studios in Somerset and in Southern France, produced by long-time collaborator Louie Nicastro.

Band members, JJ Burnel and Baz Warne completed Dark Matters remotely during lockdowns, adding to it the song "And If You Should See Dave..." a contemplative, but uplifting a tribute to Greenfield.
