Das DebÃ¼talbum der ikonischen amerikanischen Tattoo-KÃ¼nstlerin, Model und Ikonoklastin Kat Von D ist ein Pastiche aus formwandelnden analogen Synthesizern, Post-Punk-Traumlandschaften, Gothic-TÃ¶nen und schÃ¼chternem Pop-Magnetismus. Lange vor den geschichtstrÃ¤chtigen Tattoos, den allgegenwÃ¤rtigen Fernsehshows, den meistverkauften BÃ¼chern und dem einflussreichen Beauty-Imperium setzte sich Kat Von D fast zwei Stunden am Tag ans Klavier und spielte. Eine klassische Ausbildung und eine tiefe WertschÃ¤tzung fÃ¼r Musik aller Genres prÃ¤gten ihr Leben. Sie studierte sechs Tage pro Woche Gesang bei Ken Tamplin, um ihre Stimme zu stÃ¤rken. 2012 begann sie, mit der fÃ¼r den GRAMMYÂ® Award nominierten Legende Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes, Christina Aguilera, Pink) zu schreiben. Nach dieser Erfahrung fuhr Kat fort, alleine zu schreiben, indem sie sich ans Klavier setzte und Songs aus rohen Emotionen schÃ¶pfte. The debut album from the iconic American tattoo artist, model & iconoclast Kat Von D is a pastiche of shapeshifting analog synths, post-punk dreamscapes, gothic hues, and shy pop magnetism.Long before the history-making tattoos, ubiquitous television shows, best-selling books, and influential beauty empire, Kat Von D sat down at a piano for nearly two hours a day and played. Classical training and a deep appreciation for music of all genres underscored her life. She studied voice under Ken Tamplin six days per week, strengthening her vocals. In 2012, she began writing with GRAMMY® Award-nominated legend Linda Perry. Following this experience, Kat continued to write on her own, sitting at the piano and summoning songs from raw emotion.
