Beschreibung: | This is the third recording to represent Giulio Prandi's interpretative research on the great Italian choral repertory, after the special and successful releases of works by Jommelli and Pergolesi, cornerstones of the golden age of the Neapolitan school. Faced with the challenge posed by Rossini's essential masterpiece, Prandi has chosen an original and courageous path, following deep reflection. The new critical edition of the Rossini Foundation of Pesaro is used here for the first time in a recording studio; three rare instruments roughly contemporary with the work - pianos by rard and Pleyel, a D bain harmonium - have been selected to ensure an authentic, vital, luminous sound, guaranteed by the artistry of the keyboardist and professor at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis Francesco Corti; four illustrious soloists have been engaged: Sandrine Piau, Jos Maria Lo Monaco, Edgardo Rocha and Christian Senn. Finally, the fundamental contribution of the Coro Ghislieri, an acknowledged world-class ensemble in early repertory, sets the seal on a recording of rare merit., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Alto Vocals [Choir]: Giulia Beatini, Alto Vocals [Choir]: Isabella Di Pietro, Alto Vocals [Choir]: Maria Chiara Gallo, Alto Vocals [Choir]: Silvia Capobianco, Alto Vocals, Soloist: José Maria Lo Monaco, Bass Vocals [Choir]: Alessandro Nuccio, Bass Vocals [Choir]: Giacomo Serra, Bass Vocals [Choir]: Guglielmo Buonsanti, Bass Vocals [Choir]: Renato Cadel, Bass Vocals, Soloist: Christian Senn, Choir: Coro Ghislieri, Composed By: Gioacchino Rossini, Conductor: Giulio Prandi, Harmonium: Deniel Perer, Piano [1st Piano]: Francesco Corti, Piano [2nd Piano]: Cristiano Gaudio, Producer, Engineer, Edited By: Fabio Framba, Soprano Vocals [Choir]: Caterina Iora, Soprano Vocals [Choir]: Jiyeong Son, Soprano Vocals [Choir]: Marta Redaelli, Soprano Vocals [Choir]: Valentina Argentieri, Soprano Vocals, Soloist: Sandrine Piau, Tenor Vocals [Choir]: Massimo Lombardi, Tenor Vocals [Choir]: Michele Concato, Tenor Vocals [Choir]: Raffaele Giordani, Tenor Vocals [Choir]: Roberto Rilievi, Tenor Vocals, Soloist: Edgardo Rocha, Labelcode ARC494.2 (A494), Phonographic Copyright (p) Outhere Music France, Copyright (c) Outhere Music France, Recorded At Sala Della Carità, Padua |
