Night Shop, das Soloprojekt von Justin Sullivan (Babies, Worriers, Kevin Morby's Band, Flat Worms), hat sein zweites Album Forever Night angekÃ¼ndigt, das nun erscheinen wird! Justin hat das Album zusammen mit Jarvis Taveniere produziert und die Band auf diesem Album umfasst Meg Duffy von Hand Habits am Bass (beide spielten in der Band von Morby), Evan Weiss (Slang Chickens, Sparks) an der Gitarre und Tiffanie Lanmon (Jess Williamson) am Schlagzeug. "Dieses Album ist etwas Besonderes fÃ¼r mich, weil ich das GefÃ¼hl habe, dass ich die Dinge am ehesten so ausdrÃ¼cken kann, wie ich es gerne mÃ¶chte", sagt Justin, "aber es ist auch nur ein Teil der anhaltenden Freude am Musikmachen mit meinen Freunden. Night Shop (the solo project of Justin Sullivan, who is best known for playing drums for Kevin Morby, in addition to playing with Flat Worms and The Babies) delivers the new LP, Forever Night. The album features Meg Duffy on guitar (Hand Habits), Jess Williamson, Anna St. Louis and Jarvis Taveniere (Woods/Purple Mountains), and was engineered by Jarvis Taveniere, and co-produced by Justin and Jarvis. Forever Night begins with the titular song, moving with the jacked-up pace of a long forgotten power pop anthem being hummed on a city avenue outside the late night cafe. From there the album flows through various sonic moods and tones, while the lyrics invoke literary themes and imagery, like a back-pocket paperback brought to an all-night diner where an old jazz standard plays.
