"Hell Awaits" est le deuxième album studio du groupe américain de thrash metal légendaire Slayer et est proposé ici au format CD par Sony Music/Metal Blade. Sorti en 1985, cet opus marquant repousse les limites de la vitesse et de l?agressivité dans le métal avec ses structures complexes et ses thèmes sombres qui deviendront emblématiques du style unique de Slayer. Des titres comme « At Dawn They Sleep » ou « Hell Awaits » sont devenus cultes et ont influencé d?innombrables groupes à travers les décennies. Fondé en 1981, Slayer fait partie des célèbres « Big Four » du thrash aux côtés de Metallica, Megadeth et Anthrax ; leur son sans compromis leur a valu plusieurs disques d?or ainsi qu?un Grammy Award prestigieux pour leur carrière exceptionnelle dans le métal extrême mondialement reconnu. The second studio album by American thrash metal band Slayer, released on April 8, 1985. In the book Legends of Rock Guitar, Hell Awaits was defined as "a psychotic exploration into the depths of Satanism and physical torture". I recommend.

Early Slayer are the best! The furious thrash metal of the 80's is the essence of these records. Hell Awaits, although not the best from that times is a very nice album.
