When Falco began to work on his fourth studio album â??Emotionalâ?? in spring 1986, he was one of a few internationally successful artists singing in German language. Reaching #1 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts with â??Rock Me Amadeusâ? from his previous album â??Falco 3â? in March 1986, he is the only artist ever achieving this historic summit in the US with a song in German. Adding this fact to his superstar status in German speaking countries and most of Europe, shows the magnitude a new Falco album meant to the music world at that time. The release of â??Emotionalâ? was another successful chapter in Falcoâ??s outstanding career. Released on November 1st, 1986, the album went straight to #1 in Germany and Austria and top 10 in several other European territories. Marking his debut with Warner Music, â??Emotionalâ? was the second Bolland und Bolland produced Falco album and including singles such as â??The Sound of Musikâ?, which had great success outside the German-speaking countries as well and reached the US top 20 Dance chart, and â??Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2. Ein Jahr Danach - One Year Later)â?, which reached the top of the German charts and was a sequel to Falcoâ??s famous 1985 song â??Jeannyâ? about a young woman who had disappeared for a year and still hadnâ??t been found. Other notable tracks of the album were â??Emotionalâ?, â??The Kiss of Kathleen Turnerâ?, and â??Kamikaze Capaâ?, the latter written as a tribute to the late photojournalist Robert Capa. Limited 180gm red colored vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition. 1986 release from the Austrian singer/songwriter. The album was Falco's fourth release and the second to be produced by songwriting/production duo Bolland and Bolland. The first single was "The Sound of Musik". The next single was "Coming Home (Jeanny Part II, One Year Later)", which reached the top of German charts. It was a sequel to the Falco song "Jeanny".
